Rainbow Communities core aims are:

~ to create sustainable communities where people live in harmony with their natural environment,

~ to obtain and hold land in trust for people who wish to be part of sustainable community living,
~ to help found a sustainable future. 

Some of our common values:

• We seek to lead more natural and sustainable lifestyles,
• We believe in the spirit of cooperation more than competition,
• We work with nature as our ally always and not against it,
• We respect each other for being who truly are, not as separate individuals but part of One Life,
• We believe in equality in decision making, of true speaking,
• We are willing to share our skills and resources trusting that by giving we are also receiving,
• We seek "ENOUGH" and no more than we need to live on,
• We try to source our needs locally. 

How can we support cooperative and sustainable living?

Our Plan is to:

    ~ combine traditional skills with new understanding to support our common future,
    ~ provide international working holidays and educational courses for all age groups to learn “sustainable life skills” and exchange cultural wisdom,
    ~ create local barter economies as a common resource for sharing and exchanging needed skills and resources,
    ~ help disadvantaged or 'disinherited' people in becoming an integrated part of a sustainable society where everyone can realise their full potential.
    ~ bring local people together to learn about and experience sustainable living through public events, 
    ~ share best practices between similar regional and international community groups so as to learn from experience and enhance 
       our global sustainable futures.
