Example Day Itinerary - Typical Activities

                                        Two groups  ~  Home Stay and Base Camp
One Mission  ~  Experiencing Sustainable Living within local and regional Community 

For a group of 10 or more people, half the group stays with local families and the other half stays at Quinta Arco-Iris "base camp".  Home Stay people changes over with the Base Camp people for the second week.  Home Stay activities are coordinated by our nearby partner Quinta Vistosa.  

"Home Stay" Group - experiencing local and regional diversity:

Rise by 08:00 Pequena almoco / breakfast with your host family
09:00 Practical activity assisting your home stay family, 
Or Outreach trip — a visit to experience local agriculture or trade activity oriented towards sustainability.
Mid-day  Almoco / lunch at Quinta Vistosa or visit to a local café/restaurant
Afternoon Continue morning activity
17:30 Reviewing daily impressions:  Home Stay group joins Base Camp group
19:00 Jantar / evening meal with your host family
20:30 Social evening's educational entertainment option, usually diverse and engaging!

"Base Camp" Group - practising sustainable development in the neighbourhood:

07:00 early-birds Bread Baking with a traditional wood fired earth-oven twice/week, option for early risers!
Rise by 08:00 Tai Chi / Day Fitness, option - followed by "Pequena almoco" / breakfast 
09:30 Group Circle meeting to create the day, assess needs, solve issues and arrange our activities
10:00 Workshop - Learning to live sustainably / a series of PermaCulture seminars
11:00 Practical Activity.  The group may work on Earth Building, Planting and Gardening, Solar or Wind installation or sourcing food to prepare lunch, or other traditional tasks
Mid-day Almoco / lunch on the quinta or walk into town to a local café/restaurant
Afternoon

Continue morning activity Or Outreach Trip - for example:
Oyster River Fishing or Sea Fishing * Local Agriculture * Trip to Megalithic Stone + City of Evora
Classic Guitar or Ceramic making, 
Ploughing with Donkeys * local Football match!

17:30 Reviewing daily impressions together - Home Stay and Base Camp groups get together and/or Free-time
19:30 Jantar / evening meal
20:30 Social evening educational entertainment option
